AACSB Accreditation
Founded in 1916, AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), as the world's premier non-profit business education alliance for business schools and accounting programs, is currently the world's oldest and most enduring business-school accreditation mechanism. The strictness of the AACSB educational accreditation system, the high standards, and the highest ranking in the world are recognized by all, and it marks that the business education has reached a world-class level. As of 2023, only 980 colleges and universities from 60 countries and regions hold AACSB business accreditation, which is less than 6% of the world's colleges and universities offering business education degree programs. There are already 42 business schools in mainland of China that have passed AACSB Accreditation.
The School of Management officially became a member of AACSB in 2015, obtained accreditation in 2017, passed the Initial Self-Evaluation Report (iSER) in 2019 and the Substantive Change Report in June 2020. It successfully passed the first round of Update Report in November 2020 and the second round of Update Report in 2021, while submitting the final self-evaluation report (SER) in 2022 to enter the on-site visit. Participating in AACSB accreditation will bring new ideas, new challenges and systematic guidance to the School, through which we can share the educational resources of the AACSB Alliance of Business Schools, realize mutual recognition of courses among the Alliance of Business Schools, build an international business cooperation platform, and enhance the brand awareness and reputation of the School of Management. Additionally, the brand awareness of the School of Management can be improved while the teaching and research-management process can be internationalized. In the future, the school will continue to forge ahead, follow the road of continuous improvement, benchmark the vision and mission, and climb the peak of management education.
